What to Expect

From seasoned closers to those making their very first property purchase, our team at Kimbrough Law carefully examines your needs to provide a personalized approach to your closing. Our expertise and flexibility help you reach your desired outcomes and successfully close on schedule. Here are a few things you need to know for closing day.

Buyers/Sellers

Whether you’re a seasoned buyer/seller or this is your first time, we help make sure you’re fully prepared throughout the closing process.

Lenders

We make the closing proceedings as seamless as possible, in part by prioritizing customer service.

Builders

With flexible location options for closing, as well as additional support, our team strives to make closings as stress-free as possible.

Investors

Offering options for a speedy close, we help investors move on to their next opportunity quickly.

Buyers/Sellers

Did you know that in Georgia as a buyer, you have the right to select your own closing attorney? Don’t settle for someone with less experience. Kimbrough Law helps you through every step of the closing process. From signing a purchase/sell agreement, to navigating the due diligence period, to scheduling the closing, and to finally sitting down with us and the other involved parties to sign all that paperwork, we’re right beside you. It’s important to remember that on closing day you’ll need:

  • A government-issued ID
  • Personal checkbook (just in case)
  • Everyone who will be on the title to be present
  • Everyone who is currently on title to be present

After all the paperwork is signed and the keys are handed over, we make sure the deed gets recorded and sent back to the homeowner while you celebrate a successful closing.

Lenders

We strive to have easy-to-understand instructions to get the closing process started for lenders. While we understand you’re well-versed in closing procedures, we want to be accessible to you to keep the process going. In that vein some basic pieces of information include:

Submitting title requests to precloser@kimbrough-law.com

Getting wiring instructions by calling our main office phone: 404.994.4610

Builders

Understanding how busy the day-to-day is for developers looking to close on property, Kimbrough Law allows you the flexibility to request a mobile closing where we can come to you. Trying to do all we can to support and assist you in the closing process, we also offer contract drafting and review services as well as bulk discounts. To get more information on these two services, please contact  the office to schedule a phone consultation with Cristyl Kimbrough.

Investors

Because time can be tight and transactions can be both complex and involved, Kimbrough Law offers the option to expedite the due diligence process of running title examinations on the subject property. For a small fee, our dedicated team can begin the process, completing it once both fully-executed contracts are received. Our commitment to customer service is high, and we do all we can to accelerate the closing process for our serious investor clients.

Whether you’re a seasoned buyer/seller or this is your first time, we help make sure you’re fully prepared throughout the closing process.
